三次元に存在するモチーフを徹底的に二次元の世界に落とし込んできたO JUN。普段、私たちが目にしている世界において、あらゆるものは同時に、そして連続性の中で存在しています。しかし、O JUNは対象をその連続性から切り離し、平面性を強調したミニマルなフォルムに描きます。そこに描かれた対象は、それまで依存していた関係性や文脈をはぎ取られ、今度は作品の前に立つ鑑賞者と新たな関係性を築くことになるのです。
今回、O JUNは絵画の伝統的ジャンルのひとつである「静物画」を公開制作します。テーブルの上にある自然物や人工物。そんな「静物画」においては典型的な対象物に加え、これまでパフォーマンス作品を制作してきたアーティスト・國宗浩之をも静止させてモチーフのひとつとして描きます。果たして國宗はじっとしていられるのでしょうか。
また、ギャラリースペースにおけるO JUNの公開制作に加え、併設するラウンジにおいて、岡野智史と新関創之介のペインティング、國宗浩之のパフォーマンス作品を展示します。　LOOP HOLEにおける、O JUNと岡野智史、國宗浩之、新関創之介の濃厚なセッションをどうぞお楽しみ下さい。

“Don’t Move! Fruits, Dishes, Ship and Hiroyuki Kunimune”

LOOP HOLE is pleased to present Don’t Move! Fruits, Dishes, Ship, and Hiroyuki Kunimune from 15 March to 10 May. This exhibition consists of O JUN’s live painting in the main gallery and the group show by Satoshi Okano, Hiroyuki Kunimune and Sounosuke Niizeki in the rounge.
In this exhibition, O JUN works on still-life painting, which is a genre of the traditional paintings, and shows its process as live painting. Motifs are not only fruits and dishes, which are typical objects in still-life painting. O JUN stops Hiroyuki Kunimune, who is a performance artist, from moving and paints him as a motif of still-life.
In the rounge next to main gallery, we also present the group show by Satoshi Okano, Hiroyuki Kunimune and Sounosuke Niizeki.
